EEOC Workshops Scheduled

Today's update deals with some workshops being offered by the EEOC that may be of interest to employers with 15 to 100 employees. President Bush implemented his New Freedom Initiative on May 23, 2002. As part of the successful implementation of that initiative, the EEOC is conducting free workshops across the nation for businesses with 15 to 100 employees. The purpose of the workshops is to inform about tax incentives and community resources focused on encouraging employment of the disabled. To see a schedule of the workshops and get contact information, please visit Scheduled Workshops.

Employment Law Experts Address Workplace Issues

   Greetings Dear Readers!

First, let me say it's a pleasure to continue serving your career and recruiting interests. The site is going through some changes, as you may have already noticed.

  • Growth and Changes
  •   The two sites formerly hosted on WebSeed, Recruit and Retain.net and Career Coach Corner, are now part of Entrances. Those two sites are in the process of being integrated into the mother site and are temporarily dark. However, information for all three sites will continue to reach you via these periodic updates.

Please feel free to pass this news on to friends and associates or invite them to sign up for their own copy of the news. You can join the list via the sign up form on the site or by sending a blank email to

  • Events, Networking Opportunities, Seminars
  •   Many events and activities are happening that are excellent networking, as well as knowledge enhancing, opportunities. To see what's going on, check the Events 2002 pages, as well as the Calendar of Events.

The Bulletins at Delphi contain additional information about publications and other events. Take some time to browse the postings.

If you participate in any of offerings, it would benefit the rest if you could post your observations in the forum.

    Calendar of Events

  • INT Tradeshows and Conferences
  •   Internet Media has quite a number of conferences scheduled between now and October that may be of interest to you business owners and IT professionals. Please take some time to see the activities and register to attend.

You'll find the conferences and expos listed on their own pages at Entrances as well as among the listings on the Calendar.

  • Here to Serve
  •   There are new articles on the bi-weekly column at Suite101, Career and Executive Recruiting Advice. In case you haven't visited or not been by recently, you may be surprised at how some of the articles on The Desk seemed to forecast some of the matters we consider in our present day business dealings. Please stop by and consider some of the words. Kevin Donlin's column, Resume Writing Tips is still a good read. He's also gone to a bi-weekly format and his newest articles will be up in the very near future.

Finally, there's a new poll that may be of interest to any of you who do interviews. Please stop by and cast your vote in the Background Checks on the Company poll.

  • Until Next Time
  •   I'm here to serve your needs. If there is a particular business, recruiting or career matter you would like to see discussed or made available on the site, please feel free to send me a note requesting it to

May all of your endeavors be Entrances through the doors of opportunity, advancement and success!
